NOTA: Scusate il titolo in inglese ma faro il report in inglese perche' ho promesso di mandare il link a persone che ho incontrato a Bochum ... e poi perche' vi fa bene allenarvi con la lingua "universale" 
We start our journey from Parma on Friday Sept. 24th around 10:45AM. We are going to drive up to Bergamo airport. We get onto A1 and after 10 minutes of drive we hit a huge traffic jam due to roadworks which is blocking the fastest way to Bergamo (highway Cremona-Brescia). We get delayed by ~ 30mins and we finally end up in Bergamo at ~ 1PM (our flight departs at 2PM). We had a very quiet and nice flight and after we land at Weeze airport we take the bus to Essen (~ 1hour) and then the train to Bochum. We get to the Hotel Excelsior at around 6:30PM (too late for pre-registration) and we are ~3mins walking from the http://img820.imageshack.us/img820/3828/24092010057.jpg - Convention Center . We have a nice pizza at Momo's (just in from of the convention center) and we go back to the Hotel to finish up the deck and playtest a little. The next morning we have an early breakfast (~ 7AM) and we meet http://img705.imageshack.us/img705/5289/26092010077.jpg - Steve the founder of Team Generation 42. He's a very nice guy from Bern so we have a quick chat before leaving for the registration. The line is huge but thank's to Steve we sneak in at the very beginning of a line such that we get in quite early. We pay 20Euros and I pulled crap from my packs. I sneak around a little and we immediately meet ... http://img340.imageshack.us/img340/9397/25092010059.jpg - The Archlords !!! . Surprises are not over and, around the corner, we immediately meet the extraordinary ... http://img834.imageshack.us/img834/8020/25092010060h.jpg - Stardust Dragon!!! . He very nice indeed and he lets http://img801.imageshack.us/img801/2732/25092010062.jpg - me and http://img38.imageshack.us/img38/6586/25092010063.jpg - Mario to take pictures together .
In the mean time we hit some http://img709.imageshack.us/img709/6037/25092010064d.jpg - pro players ( form left to right: Milani, Lenti, Memoli, Vairo) and some other http://img101.imageshack.us/img101/8513/25092010065.jpg - unlucky pro player (E-Horus: scrap is not crap !!!). While waiting for the official start people is already http://img813.imageshack.us/img813/4672/25092010066.jpg - in action . We walk around the room and we meet some other italian http://img716.imageshack.us/img716/7601/25092010067.jpg - pro players (from left to right: Merlini, Longo and Mancini) and a very popular character from H&G: say hello to http://img718.imageshack.us/img718/6393/25092010068z.jpg - Zigmund !!! Finally around noon the tournament (with 1297 players) is about to start. Turn 1 against http://img684.imageshack.us/img684/3315/25092010069.jpg - Lucas (Turbo vayu). The guy is very nice and he is explaining me his deck has got second place at the last German nationals. He starts with a very bad hand and I take the first game very quickly. The second game he kills me with D.D. Crows while the third game I foresee D.D. Crow and I hold my double frogs untils I have game in may hand. 1 - 0 Before second turn I meet the famous http://img580.imageshack.us/img580/4613/25092010070.jpg - Irish Duelist !!! (aka PJ Tiernej). Take some time to visit his great http://theirishduelist.blogspot.com/ - blog . Turn 2 against http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/1006/25092010071.jpg - Lucas (X-Sabers). Another nice guy from Czech Republic but his deck is not as explosive as the standard X-saber build and I dominate both games. 2 - 0 The Konami staff is now announcing the side events for the conquer of the http://img405.imageshack.us/img405/8533/25092010072.jpg - Giant cards !!! Turn 3 against http://img715.imageshack.us/img715/9823/25092010073.jpg - XXXX (Zombie Dark). The guy is originally from Italy but lives in Germany. He is very nice as well and we chat a bit before getting into action. The first game he solemn warn me three times but I still hold thank to my faders and I win with Caius. The second game he crows me twice and Caius me twice for the game. The third one is very tense as we go into time: he is afraid of my crow and let me Cius him for game. 3 - 0 I'm very excited indeed !!! Turn 4 against XXX (Hand control X-saber). Here there is no game at all: after turn 2 he empties my hand (which was marvellous: Fader + Dark Dust Spirit + Dark Hole with Frog in the graveyard). Before we start the second game I made the first big mistake of the day: I do not side in my crows and my second veiler. After second turn my hand is empty again ... GG. 3 - 1 I'm quite pissed at myself but I'm plannign to redeem myself in the next round. Turn 5 against http://img214.imageshack.us/img214/2497/25092010074.jpg - XXX (Infenity). A nice guy from Belgium. First game is mine than to my veiler. Second game he explodes after few turns. The third game starts into time. This is the key 4 turns that decided my YCS. I'm quite confident as I can let him go first so I have 2 turns to make some damage. He starts with Archfiend in ATK mode and 5 sets. On my turn I special summon Swap by dumping treeborn, I activate his effect and he chain Barrier. I pass wiht nothing on the field (I have Fader and Gorz in my hand so I feel pretty confident). He sets, attacks and I drop Fader ... he chains another Barrier. Then after damage I drop Gorz ! He passes with 2 set and I have Enemy in hand. I'm concerned about Torrential and I do not activate Treeborn effect in stand-by but I just tribute the token to take Archfiend ... and he chains his third barrier !!! WTF !!! I lose and I'm extremely hungry. 3 - 2 I think it's over and I keep losing all the other games (I play without siding at all as I'm very depressed).
